VECTOR STORE CONCEPT

As a lead up to my Final Project at the FRA, I had to complete a branding pack based on a potential store. We were given a list of concessions and own bought brands which had to feature within the store, but apart from this, the concept, mood and design of the brand was left to us! A name, logo and feel of the store was first decided and from this, the store layout, fixtures, department concepts and branding applications followed.
I used illustrator, photoshop and indesign for this project, creating a total of 53 pages all based on a unique idea.

Below are my floor plans for the Lower Ground of Vector.  Created using photoshop, the layouts show product adjacencies, followed by the fixture layouts. This provides an idea of the general atmosphere and feel of Vector.

Following the floor plans, I created a serious of concept pages for each department. The pages give an idea of the feel and atmosphere of each section of the store, without being specific on actual fixtures. Images were sourced from various existing stores, placed alongside mood images. Below are an example of two of these pages.

The upper ground floor plans and fixture plans then follow, along with the concept pages for each department.

After the floor plans and concept pages, the pack then leads into my branding applications. Using photoshop mostly, i was able to place my logo on various applications which would feature in the store. I also went beyond this to design some unique features, such as the bag handles and perfume cap. Moreover, I designed a website homepage, promotional flyers, magazine and window display.
These are a few of my favourite designs within the pack:

These are just a few of the applications I designed. There also featured a phone app, more in-store signage, the magazine spread and bus stop posters.

I really enjoyed this project and it has made me extremely excited and prepared for the FMP as this can be completely my own concept and hopefully an actual window installation at the end!

'BRAND ME' Short Project

A short project based on the idea of branding ourselves. Tasked to initially create a logo for a brand intended to match our personality, interests and past memories, and then use this logo to create standard branding applications,
For this project I used Illustrator mostly, along with photoshop for image editing. The typography on the logo and compliment slip was an original creation, using the pen tool and width adjustments. I also used the image trace to create the distinct, abstract birds within the logo.
Both the business card and swing tickets use a varied mix of skills on both software, and show a progression of ideas and concepts.
